Resident Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Resident Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining structure and accountability within Thrive Transitional Housing. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, supportive, and policy-compliant living environment for residents. Responsibilities include conducting drug and alcohol screenings (UAs), new resident intakes, regular house check-ins, enforcing house policies, and reporting to the office. The Resident Coordinator must be outgoing, professional, and dependable while upholding the values and integrity of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Support & Compliance:
- Administer regular and random drug & alcohol screenings (UAs) while maintaining confidentiality.
- Do not discuss drug test results with residents; instead, record and report results to the office.
- Conduct routine check-ins with residents
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all resident interactions.
Facility & House Operations:
- Perform regular house inspections to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Complete a House Visit Check-In Sheet for every visit, documenting observations and any concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Reliable transportation is required for travel between housing locations.
- Must represent the company professionally, including maintaining an appropriate and well-groomed appearance.
- Must not ever smell of drugs or alcohol while on duty.
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in sober living, social services, or recovery programs preferred.
- Ability to administer UAs and enforce compliance in a professional manner.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining thorough records.
- Familiarity with recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and structured living environments.
- Ability to set firm boundaries while maintaining a supportive approach.
- Basic proficiency with technology for record-keeping and reporting.
- Must pass a background check and be comfortable working with justice-involved individuals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lived experience in recovery (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with individuals in sober living, corrections, or reentry programs.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Flexible schedule – may require some evening or weekend availability.
- On-site presence at the residence(s) with regular resident interactions.
- Some administrative work can be completed remotely, but hands-on presence is required.
